On behalf of the Pennsylvania SPCA, I am excited to announce that the Centre Hall animal shelter, located at 2451 General Potter Highway, is in the process of transitioning to local leadership and will be renamed Pets Come First, The New SPCA!.
Pet’s Come First is an all volunteer organization that has been working alongside the Pennsylvania SPCA staff to improve shelter operations, reduce euthanasia, and increase adoptions at the Centre Hall facility. In order to optimize the operations, we believe now is a good time to turn over the shelter to a group that is locally based, better understands the needs of the community, and can continue the positive trends.
In the past you have generously supported the Pennsylvania SPCA in our efforts to run the Centre Hall shelter. At this time I would like to ask you to lend your support to Pets Come First, the New SPCA! to help them continue the goal of providing high quality animal welfare services. Please support this exciting initiative and ensure a safe facility for the animals by making a tax-deductible donation today.
To ensure that monetary donations benefit the local Centre Hall shelter and local animals, contributions should be made to Pets Come First, The New SPCA! by visiting www.petscomefirst.com or mailing your check directly to Pets Come First, The New SPCA!, P.O. Box 493, Lemont, PA 16851. For more information about Pets Come First, The New SPCA!, please email the organization at info@petscomefirst.com, or call Deb Warner at 814.359.7150.
The Pennsylvania SPCA continues to provide donor-funded humane law enforcement in Centre County. If you have any further questions please don’t hesitate to contact Pennsylvania SPCA Director of Development Rachel Martz at 215.426.6304 or rmartz@pspca.org.
Thank you for continuing to support the work of animal welfare organizations in Centre County.
Gratefully,
Susan Cosby
