Cloey

Cloey the Cat

Cloey the cat and her new friend

This is a picture of Cloey, formerly Peggy the 3 legged cat.  If you look closely she is sitting across my daughter’s neck while she is reading to her.  This is typical of Cloey, as she loves to be close to all of our family sitting on our chest, or beside us as we have a relaxing moment.  Her health is fine and the hair is growing back from her operation.  She is loved by all of us and is a great addition to our family.  Thanks for making this adoption happen.

pepper

Pepper the catHi, We wanted to give you an update on Miguel (we named him Pepper because it looks like his fur was sprinkled with Pepper). Pepper Pepper was a nervous kitty at first, but he has been with us about 1 1/2 months now and is doing great.  Pepper loves to play, eat, drink from the tub faucet and lay on Bob’s chest or lap.  He plays fetch with his balls and mice, gives kisses and opens the cupboard door where his food is stored.  He’s been a joy and we’re happy to have him.  I’ve attached a couple pictures for you to see him in action. Our best to all of you and keep up the good work.  -Terri and Bob B.

Amiee

Amiee with her new familyHere’s Amiee, adopted from Pets Come First on June 20, 2012. She lives a happy life full of walks and warm snuggly beds with my in laws, John and Mary Denlinger, along with her two adopted kitty sisters. We are all so thankful for the joy Amiee has brought to the Denlinger family and also appreciate Pets Come First and everyone who fosters (we met Amiee through her foster mom Maureen).  Your work saves lives and spreads smiles.

Zekey

With the Holiday season upon us I thought about how blessed our family is to have the animals in our lives that we have. I wanted to update you on how Barrett is doing in his new home. We have been calling him Zeke or, as he prefers, Zekey.  He is now a wonderful healthy 100 lbs. He loves to cuddle and give hugs. He also loves to play with his big sisters and has helped them to lose weight. We have recently started taking him out in the field with us and he can’t get enough of running in circles. He has his own fenced in yard and a plethora of toys at his disposal. He still has the naughty puppy habit of chewing some items that are not toys; underwear, bedding, and magazines. He is slowly learning commands and is always happy to make us happy. He can be very protective of us when it comes to strangers, which is something we are readily working on. He loves the cats and constantly tries to play with them. All in all he is a very large ray of sunshine in our house and we have no regrets about bringing him into our lives. Have a happy holiday season.

Biscuit

Biscuit is a great dog.  He is adapting to his new surroundings quite well and he is well behaved.  He is a great listener – unlike my wife and kids!  He very well could be my best friend.  Thank you for pointing out this little fellow to me.  He is a wonderful dog.  I hope you enjoy our pictures.

William

Hello everyone! I wanted to send a few pictures of William in his new home. I was a little worried at first because the ride home seemed to be very stressful for him but since then he has adapted quite well. It took the weekend for him to bond with myself and my roommate and now just look at him, he is a very sweet cat. He has a healthy appetite and is quite active in the mornings and sleeps in the afternoons. He loves looking out the window and playing with the toys we had gotten him. Thank you again William is now home!

Joey

Here’s a picture of Joey in one of his favorite spots — on top of the camera bag.  He loves to sleep there while we work on the computer.  We just came back from Ricketts Glen and Joey’s first camping trip. He was a little nervous to be riding in the van at first but when he saw how calm Buddy was he quickly calmed down and enjoyed the rest of the trip.  He is a bit too little for hiking so we stuck to the level path to the beach.  Looks like Joey is going to grow up to be our little travel buddy just like our Buddy.  Thanks so much to Pets Come First for all the good work you do.

Mary

We adopted Mary from Pets Come First in January, and we were told that she was actually one of the first dogs adopted with your new ownership of the PCF Adoption Center.

She is wonderful, and she has come a long way.  She loves to be involved in anything we are doing.  I wanted to share Mary’s new blog with you, where she will be sharing all of her adventures. (I thought it was funny when I saw that you call your success stories “happy tails” because Mary’s blog is called “Mary Tails.”)

Thank you for everything you do, and for your role in bringing Mary into our lives!  I already don’t know what I’d do without her!            ~Jenn Haynal

Archie & Hank

The little black kitten and his buddy, now known as Archie and Hank, are both doing wonderfully.  They started out in my bedroom and bathroom but quickly decided there was a whole house and other animals to explore. They love having the run of the house, playing with toys, and leaping on and off my bed. They’re an absolute wonderful fit with the rest of the house and are such sweethearts to boot. Thank you for all you do!                                                                                                                                                               ~Sami Yuhas
