At the bottom of the picture is Stout (formerly Sampson from Pets Come First). We’re walking in the Pittsburgh St Patrick’s Day Parade with the Saint Bernard Club of Western PA! He had a great time, and was probably the most photographed participant.
This is Shari … I adopted her in August after graduating from PSU. She now resides in Philly with me in her furrever home. I couldn’t ask for a more loving cat, she waits for me at the door when I come home from work and is always by my side. So grateful for Pets Come First for finding sweet kitties like Shari a loving home.
Savannah decided to take a selfie! ? Still don’t understand why anyone gave this precious girl up. We love her..so glad we adopted! Thanks Pets Come First for all you do!!!
This dog is Sammy, a griffon brussels. He came into the shelter a while back and was adopted. They just stopped in the other day to say hi.
It has been about 6 months since I brought “Ricky” home, she has lovingly been renamed Shadow, and has found a new brother in Twisty. She seems to FINALLY be comfortable… She has even become accepting of the dog…
Patches is doing well we changed her name to Ariel and she’s settling in nicely.

I was nervous with how things were going, but the kids were there visiting yesterday, and everything is good. I never thought that a little dog could melt the hearts of a bunch of old people, but they are all in love with him. He goes in with them during meals, and though he still favors his leg as long as you don’t touch it he is fine. Turns out he only chased one truck that had a cattle trailer on backing into the barn. He wasn’t out on the road like I imagined. He is too nosey of what is going on with the boys to pay attention to the road. He sleeps with Tim, worn out from his day. I was nervous that he would chew things, Naa he is too tired for that but he is up bright and early to go milk the cows. He lays in the parlor while they milk just like he has been there forever. I think we have a perfect match, he will probably spend the rest of his life covered in cow poop and mud but as long as he is happy who cares. You will have to stop up and see him at some point.

Here is Hobo, adopted by my family in December. He is doing well and is spoiled every day!
Today I came in looking to give a sweet dog a home and to get my red heeler pup a friend this is them napping on the bed so happy to be home with these sweethearts!
Just wanted to let you know that Sofia, The Cat Formerly Known as Denise, is doing great! She is SUCH a sweetheart, very gentle and loving. She’s still adjusting to my other kitties but is making progress. She loves exploring…everywhere! Attached is a pic of her on a shelf above my kitchen sink. From there she watches me do the dishes. She doesn’t help, mind you, just watches 🙂 She also loves running up and down the hallway. When I hear cat-galloping, I know it’s her. When she’s not exploring, running or asking for a cuddle, she naps amongst the blankets on the couch or in the recliner. She appears to be a happy little kitty. Overall, she is a wonderful addition to our little family. Thank you so much for letting me bring her home to us.

Hello! Our family adopted Alice, the Australian Shepard mix puppy, last week. (We’ve renamed her Maya). I had shared with some of your staff that she wasn’t getting along well with our other dog. Well seemingly overnight she has taken to our other dog, Delilah. She is such a wonderful fit with our family and is so bright and loving! I wanted to share a few pictures of her in her new home

When Mindy and I went to Pets Come First this boy stole both our hearts! Well it’s safe to say that Willy has left the building and he is now gonna be spoiled rotten like he deserves ♡ –Mindys parents adopted this boy♡ Totally made my day when I got the message today! Thanks to everyone at Pets Come First for taking great care of this boy! He is now off to do bigger and better things 😉

Thank you, everyone at Pets Come First! Unclus is snoring soundly knowing he’s found his forever home! This weekend he enjoyed his first road trip with us and he got along so well with all of the family and dogs he met (including cousin Aimee, PCF alum)! He is learning to play chase with his new sister Chloe (PCF 2014 alum) and loving belly rubs! An overall sweet guy, full of life and love! You guys do the work of angels! Forever grateful for ALL the lives you save and new families you bring together!
My name is Sophie who adopted a cat from PCF in Jan, 2015. I know that it is really late to say this, but I really want to say thank you so much for giving my family and me an opportunity to meet this precious cat that has become one of our family members. His name was Trapper (now he is called “Mapo” which is my hometown name) and Trapper and I moved to South Korea last May 🙂 Thankfully all of my family members love him and we cannot imagine our lives without him 🙂 Thank you again for allowing me to adopt this healthy cat! (another shelter didn’t let me adopt a cat because I was an international student…) I hope other people can also get to meet precious cats and dogs at PCF! See pictures below…
