Santa Paws!

Save the dates! Santa Paws is coming to town! December 8th and 9th Santa Paws will be at Pets Come First to take pictures with your pets during their open hours. This annual fundraiser will give the public the cutest pictures for Christmas this year.

Rodney Smith will transform into Santa Paws December 8th from 11 am to 4 pm and December 9th from 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm to take pictures with the good pets of the public. Rodney is a valued volunteer that comes in to help two days each week. In 2016, he offered to volunteer to take pictures with pets as a fundraiser for PCF and it has been a hit with the public ever since. With a bushy white beard, rosy cheeks and a full Santa suit, Rodney IS Santa.  For more pictures of previous Santa Paws events, check out Pets Come First’s Facebook Page.

Each animal that comes to take pictures with Santa will have their own private session with Santa and Shawn Henfling of Captured Chaos Photography. Shawn is also volunteering his time and professional expertise for this event. During the event, safety and comfort of the pets and people participating will be top priority. The event will be first come first served, no appointment needed. Participants will be asked to keep their animals warm in their cars until it is their turn with Santa, keep dogs on leashes, and keep smaller animals (cats, rodents, etc) in appropriate carriers. When it is their turn, they will be escorted to meet Santa by his elves to a quiet, private room decked with a Christmas tree, presents, and treats for their very own photo-shoot.

Admission to see Santa will be a monetary donation to Pets Come First. 100% of these donations will go directly to PCF to help the animals under their care this holiday season and beyond. Donations are greatly appreciated and help to pay for vet care, building maintenance, and needed supplies. Tax receipts are available upon request.

Volunteers are also needed for this event! Call 814-364-1725 or email info@petscomefirst.com for more information and to sign up!
